Divine Fortune Review
Divine Fortune is a progressive video slot powered by NetEnt software provider. It is a 5-reel, 3-row, 20 payline slot, that can be played on desktop, mobile and tablet devices from 20p to £100 per spin. The game takes you back to the classical ancient Greek world, featuring mythical creatures, golden coins, legendary fortunes, and progressive jackpots.
The design is simple but good looking and the soundtrack is pleasant. Reels are set against the Greek temple background, and the symbols are mythical creatures such as Medusa, Minotaur, Phoenix, and Nemean Lion. Pegasus (white horse with wings) is the Wild symbol and substitutes for all symbols except the Free Spins (the Scatter) and Bonus symbols.
You have four bonus features: Falling Wilds Re-Spins, a Wild on Wild feature, Free Spins and a Jackpot Bonus game. There are 3 different jackpots to win, including the progressive Mega Jackpot!
Divine Fortune Bonus Features
Falling Wilds Re-Spins feature is triggered once the Wild occurs in any position on the reels. When it happens, it shifts down one position with a re-spin awarded. This feature will be activated in the base game as well as during the Free Spins feature. More Wild symbols will continue to give you re-spins until all wilds disappear from the reels.
The Wild on Wild feature is also available in both the base game and Free Spins feature. It’s activated once the Wild falls behind the Falling Wild (overlay Wild lands on top of a Wild). When this happens, the Wild covers the whole reel, and then pays the wins out.
Each wild symbol then shifts 1 place vertically on the reels with a free re-spin awarded – you will also get 2 overlay wilds on that reel. If 3 or more Free Spins symbols appear in the same spin as a wild, any Falling Wilds Re-Spins are played after the feature is over.
The Free Spins feature is played when 3 or more Free Spins symbols appear anywhere in view in the base game or Falling Wilds Re-Spins feature. 3 will give you 5 free spins, 4 will give you 8 free spins, and 5 will win you 12 free spins, which is the maximum.
Look out for wild symbols during the feature as they will automatically trigger the Wild on Wild feature giving you a fully wild reel. Remember that the Falling Wilds Re-Spins feature also applies which can give you plenty of free re-spins to boost your winning potential.
Finally, there’s a Jackpot Bonus feature which is played when 3 or more Bonus symbols (the gold coin) are collected in the base game (including the Falling Wilds Re-Spins feature). These bonus symbols are randomly placed on the reels before the feature starts and has 15 independent reels which spin on their own.
Each bonus symbol can give you a win of between 10 and 200 times your stake! Furthermore, you will begin with 3 spins and the number of spins resets to 3 if a Bonus symbol lands on the reels.
When the bonus symbols remaining sticky, you aim is to fill rows: if you fill 1 entire row with bonus symbols, you win the Minor Jackpot. If you fill 2 entire rows with bonus symbols, you win the Major Jackpot. And if you fill all 3 entire rows with bonus symbols, you win the Mega Jackpot!
Should I Play Divine Fortunes?
Divine Fortune is a medium or even high variance slot, which is a plus. Slots games with high variance are riskier but also more rewarding in nature. You have a high win probability that can win life-changing amounts but also carry higher chances of loss. So if you’re looking for a Big Win rather than a Frequent Win, this is a game for you.
The fact that it offers a chance of a progressive jackpot is another plus. Overall you get a chance to win up to x600 your stake, which can compensate the low pay-outs for stock symbol combinations.
The RTP value of Divine Fortune is above 96%, which is more than most progressive slots. This unusually high Return to Players is great news for punters looking to settle in a game for the long term.
